Hi

I have recently purchase

I have recently purchased a boat with an older Tohatsu 40hp outboard. I took it out for the first time the other day and it started (after some trouble) and ran beautifully- until I put it in neutral. When I did this it stalled and would not start again. I took it out again and it started first time and ran well but again when I put it in neutral it stalled and would not start. Does any one have any ideas of what might be wrong?

"Virtually anything. Check for for fire, compression and lower unit oil. If all appear fine then start looking at the fuel system."
