"On my engine when the ignition is turned on the center water temp indicator light remains dimmly lit. This occurs even when the engine is not running (pre start). The engine runs fine and water is flowing from the water port. Is there anything that needs attention, is it normal for this indicator light to be dimmly lit? On initially turning the key on it is much brighter as the alarm sounds when first turned on."

"It sounds like either a bad ground in the wiring, the gauge is bad or the shielding internal to the gauge is off a little allowing light to be where it's not supposed to be. The easiest thing to do is to run it by a dealer and have then swap the gauge out....That will eliminate two out of the three."
