"i have a 1969 mercruiser 120h.p. 4 cyl that will only fire up if i pour a little gas throught the carb, then just keeps dying after a second or two. the carb was rebuilt at a shop, has all new cap/rotor/points(set to spec)/fuel filters/plugs/ good even compression/balast resistors/all fuel lines/tank cleaned and checked/fuel pump is working......could the float be sticking even after rebuild, or could the electric choke possibly be the problem....it seems like its a carb problem but kinda hard to belive after having it rebuilt"
