A couple of friends and I rece

A couple of friends and I recently purchased a 91 maxum with a mercruiser 3.0 4cylinder (135 hp) with a alpha one outdrive. Our current prop (aluminum) is a little nicked up but usable. Over the winter season I would like to find a stainless steel prop but I have had a hard time figuring out which prop to use. Does anyone know the pitch and diameter that is needed for my boat? I did some research on this motor and the WOT is 4400-4800 if that information helps. We would like to pull a skier and a tube. Also if anyone knows where I could find a relatively cheap prop(for stainless steel) that would be great.
Any help would be great

Thanks

Alex

Without knowing Exactly,..
What prop is there Now,..
And,..
What the RPMs are at WOT, with that prop is,...

There's absolutely No Way of giving any reasonable Advice...

I would suggest that you replace what's there,...
With a Copy of what's there,+ Enjoy the boat...

A SSteel prop is of little advantage to a Low powered boat such as your's...
And,..
SSteel props are Much Less forgiving,...
Instead of the Prop getting Smashed,...
It just telegraphs the Impact to the gears of the drive,...
Causing Drive Failure..."

"Alex, I would take Bondo's advice and stay with the type of prop you have now versus the SS. My past and current boats have all been the smaller motors (current 3.0) and I have had good luck with aluminum props. Have trashed many going into my fishing spots and have never hurt the drive unit. We also have no problem pulling tubes with two people on them."
