"I have 2 170 motors that run

"I have 2 170 motors that run well but they both will loose antifreeze very quickly from the resivore when the engines are reved up, causing engines to overheat.
There is no sign of water in the oil, could it be mixing with the fresh water cooling? and if so where?"

see my coolant was getting into the cylinders...how i dont know....when you add water to the heat riser does it end up in the bilge?

In your case I would check the heat exchanger or the exhaust manifold on the engine coolant side since you have no water / coolant in the oil.
These are the only places the coolant can leave the system if it is not in the oil."
 
brad...i found my problem...bl

brad...i found my problem...blown head gasket...it was just leaking and i had the same problem you do...the plugs werent getting we because the water was just being burned off through the exhaust...then it blew and i coulnt hold any water
