I/O 120 HP 4 CYL STERN DRIVE OMC WILL STALL AT HIGH THROTTLE AFTER RUNNING FOR 5 MINUTES. BOAT STARTS OK AND IDLES FINE BUT AFTER CRUISING A WHILE AND THEN I TRY TO GET ON IT SHE STALLS. THEN THE MORE I START IT TO KEEP IT GOING THE STALLING BECOMES MORE FREQUUENT. CARB AND ENG WERE REBUILT AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAYS IT RAN GOOD WHEN HE SOLD IT TO ME. BATTERY IS NEW SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES ARE NEW. TOOK CARB APART AND IT LOOKS CLEAN AND FUNCTIONAL ANY SUGGESTIONS WHY MY BOAT IS STALLING. I HAVE THE DOG HOUSE OFF AND THE ENG DOES FEEL VERY HOT AFTER THE WHOLE STARTING IDLING AND STALLING CYCLE.

"Hey! Let up on that Caps Key, okay?

Try changing filters and draining your water separators. Sounds like water in the fuel (common problem).

"Watch your voltage. If your voltage regulator is not working right, your voltage could shoot up high enough (at high rpm) to trip your engine circuit breaker - possibly damaging your ign coil as well."
