"I have a 99 Yamaha 50hp that is hard to start when its cold once it's warmed up it runs fine. I have replaced the primer pump @ the thermal primer, I have new fuel tank and lines and cleaned middle carb. It cranks and cranks and after many trys it will finaly start this is with the primer manual lever in the normal position. If I place the primer manual lever in the open position it will start when it's cold right away. Is there any thing I've missed?"

Has anyone had this starting problem and what is the fix? I'm getting tried of pulling the hood off and placing the primer manual lever in the open position to get the motor to start. What position should this lever be left in? Normal?
