"HI, I am looking for a repair kit for my merc sterndrive.I saw one on my computer awhile back so they must be out there somewhere?The instructions were to drill a hole in each side of the bellhousing then drill a hole through the steering bolt,then insert a smaller bolt through the sterring bolt and put a nut on the end,then the kit came with capr to snap in over the bellhousing holes.A mechanic drilled a hole into the front of my bellhousing and inserted a stainless screw and this worked fine but it loosens up after a day on the water.Any ideas? I really dont want to replace the bellhousing yet. THANKS TED"
