I have a 1995 150hp Johnson FastStrike that started surging at all speeds and won't come up to full speed. I also noticed that the tach had stopped working. I've been told that the rectifier/regulator would cause the rpm gauge to stop but would it also contribute to the poor enging performance? Thanks for any advice.
