"Hi,

Runs fine at idle (About 130- 140 degrees)runs close to 200 to 210 when running it hard. (Alarm comes on).I put a freshwater system on it, rebuilt sea pump. I even took out the thermostat. Still runs hotter than normal when running it hard. It cools down when I idle it for a bit. Looking for ideas.

*mix of coolant is correct (50% water, not straight antifreeze)?

*do we know that the gage is correct?

Check the front side of steeri

Check the front side of steering fluid cooler. May have an impeller vane from drive leg along with seaweed lodged across the exchanger tubes.
