When my 1999 Bravo 3 is trimme

When my 1999 Bravo 3 is trimmed all the way down (bow down) I can hear a rumble or groan in the boat. It seems to go away as I trim up some. Any ideas?

You can do it yourself. Pull the outdrive off and check the bearing at the transom. If theres water in the bearing or the bellows, check the bellows for leaks."

"The noise only occurs with the drive already tilted all the way down, not as the drive is tilting down. That is to say; it's not the trim pump. It does lessen as I trim up from the full down position. I don't believe turning side to side has any effect, that I've noticed.
