I am trying to put omc ford 35

I am trying to put omc ford 351 engine on alpha 1 gen 2 gimbles. Does anyone know if it is possible? cant find bell housing to adapt..

Find 888 / 898 model bell housing and engine coupler.
 
I'm not sure that merc use

I'm not sure that merc used ford engines with narrow bolt transom plate. Measure between the two mount holes on any merc ford bellhousing you look at to ensure it matches up to the bolt holes in the transom plate.
 
will a 1975 transom plate &#40

will a 1975 transom plate (ford 302/351) work with most other gimble housings? My guess is that the bolt patterns are universal.

I'm in the planning and parts collection stage of changing from omc to merc with my ford 351. I know that merc used the 351 from 1975 to about 1977. Did they use it any other time?
