"I have an 5.7 with a thunderbolt ignition. We you try to crank it no fire until you switch it back to off, then there is some fire. Could the module be bad. I checked the price of a new one ohhhhhhh.Meeeeeeee. Thanks"

You may want to post this on the Mercruiser board (I'm assuming Thunderbolt=Mercruiser)

"Check that You have power to the coil when crancking. If not, it is probably the power outlet from the starter that does not work."
