I have a 1983 2850 bayliner contessa with a 350 chevy came with a quadrojet 4 barral at WOT would surge at about 4200rpm and eventully die to less than 2000rpm would never stall but would never accelerate again either. I replaced the carb with a 600 holley and it ran great but would only pull about 3800rpm@ WOT 15mph by speedometer. I purchased a rebuilt quadrojet exact replacement of original did complete tune up and the new carb did the same as first one all specs I have found on the boat said it should run around 4400rpm at 25 to 30 mph anyone have any ideas where I should look next
