"Running the boat on the lake ran fine at start then I could only get 3000 rpm at full throttle engine sounded good,so changed fuel filter after that could only get 2400 full throttle but sometime it would run fine then back to the same thing"

i also have the same problem.

i also have the same problem. i have a 1992 5.7 with a alpha one outdrive. i am running at 2600rpm max. engine sounds good. in nuetral it will rev up to 5000rpm easily.
