my exhaust manifold is corroded on no 4 (a common prob).I have successfully managed to fix the problem by belting lead into the corrosion pints on the manifold.this has lasted some months now and my question is if I belt some lead into the head where there is minimal corrosion and then file it back after putting a new exhaust manifold on will this last .I only ask this because I am on a small budget and the lead seems to have lasted a great deal of time as opposed to the aluminium fillers i have used before.I know that I will have to change the head eventually but this seems a good and lasting solution to the problem at the moment.Also what sort of volvo head (model of car) do I ask the wreckers for when I want a head for this engine.

"Stan, regarding the head ask the wreckers to look for 1982-1984 Volvo 240, 740 and 760 cars. I think these are the right models, though I am not 100% sure."
