"Hello, I have purchased a electronic conversion kit for the distributer on my 3.OL engine. I have installed it,and for some reason, the rotor bottoms out before it goes completely down. There is so little of the lug inside of the rotor entering the slot in the distributer shaft that when i start the engine, i am afraid it will just slip out. The magnetic ring is down as far as it will go. I had thought about grinding off enough material from the bottom of the rotor to alow it to drop down. Any thoughts on this idea? Has any one had this problem? The kit is a Sierra brand. Thanks, Don"
