we went on a boat trip that started out with a spun propeller.Got that fixed and went on the trip.On the way home we hit some seaweed and it sounded like we spun another propeller.We shut the engines down.Upon looking in the engine compartment we found oil everywhere.Got towed back in.Once at the dock we checked the dipstick and the oil is still full.Started the engine and the oil pressure is good.The oil laying in the engine compartment is not burnt motor oil.It almost looks like it is mixed with grease.We have twin volva 235"s.Anybody have a clue?Thanks.Patty

hi Jim thanks for writing.The oil has really no smell.It is more like a grease mixture.The oil in the engine is full.We are very confused.We started it at the dock and moved forward and backward with no problems and the oil pressure is good.

It might be the grease from th

It might be the grease from the bell housing. Suggest You get the boat up and have a look at the bellows to the drives.
