"My 470 shift cable finally snapped and there isn't a standard replacment for my engine / control config. Local parts guy gave me a standard Morse cable with attachment "kit",(designed for outboards up to 300 h.p.) I got it setup and working, but on the package its says "do not use with sterndrive applications". OK, ...but why?"
