Tonight I plan

"Greetings,

Tonight I plan on installing a new clamshell water connector rubber gasket in hopes of resolving my air ingress issue. What, if any, sealant, gasket adhesive, etc. should I use?

My main concern is to ensure that this gasket does not "squeeze-out" when the water connector is tightened down.

"Chris, I have installed mine with "perfect seal", and it did not squeeze out whatsoever."
