"I'm trying to find the accurate recommended max rpm to help determine appropriate prop size and pitch. My Clymer Volvo Shop Manual states max rpm for this engine is 5200rpm. However, the Volvo website seems to indicate it's 4400rpm with the 290 drive but doesn't list it with the 280T. My prop shop thinks 4400 is accurate but it currently turns 4700rpm with a large 16 x 17 prop at sea level? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks"
