Throttle cable in a bind

When I dropped the lower unit

When I dropped the lower unit on my Mercruiser 5.0 Alpha 1 to replace water pump(all went well)and after it was all put back my throttle lever was hard to push forward. It would shift fine into forward and reverse but the throttle when pushing forward seemed like it was in a bind. What did I screw up?

That is a tough one sin

That is a tough one since the throttle has nothing to do with the drive other than they share the remote control. Also since it is shifting well it is really strange. Did you try the just throttle of the remote? Engine warm up mode.If the throttle moves easy without shifting and just moving the throttle then it could be the shift cable is not moving as far as it did for some reason. Best of luck
