"I just bought a 18ft Bow Rider and do a fair amount of fishing and would like to replace my carpet with something else.
You know the hard plastic, I dont know if it is ABS or nylon or what, but on the newer boats they use this for the interior floors. Is there any place to buy this stuff?
Is was thinking of applying fiberglass mesh and a couple or few coats of resin and then finsh with an epoxy garage floor paint with grit or something....

Any one else look into this?

TIA"

"Don't laugh, but how about truck bedliner? Some of the guys with boats like mine have done it. Works slick and it indestructable. Go for a light color.

"Thanks, FastJeff.
I also found this stuff called Nidacore. Its $175 a 4x8 sheet and its PVC honeycomb core you can get in different thicknesses. But 100% waterproof and like 10x stronger than plywood.
They are even making new boats out of it. They offer wood veneer also for the furniture, interior stuff.
Def worth a look at.
Check out the order page, looks like cool stuff. I am in the fireplace and chimney business and use a similar marble veneer with aluminum honeycomb inerstructure that is really light weight and structurally strong.
