2003 REGAL 2120 DESTINY WITH A 5.0GL VOLVO ENGINE RUNNING AT JUST BELOW 200 DEGREES. ALARM SOUNDS. CHANGED THERMOSTAT AND STILL RUNS AT THE SAME TEMP. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST WHERE I GO FROM HERE? BOAT HAS LOW HOURS / LIMITED USE BUT IS USED MOSTLY IN SALT WATER.

"Salt Water = Corrosion at sensor giving false reading and alarm????

Any way to pull the sensor, clean and replace???

Low hours on relatively new engine would seem unlikely to have a true overheat issue unless neglected.

Any way to confirm that you actually overheat? "

"YES CHRIS, THE SENSOR IS EASY TO ACCESS. I WILL TRY THAT TODAY. I CANNOT CONFIRM A TRUE OVERHEAT
SINCE IT SEEMS TO ONLY BE RUNNING HOT, THAT IS: JUST ABOUT 200 DEGREES WHICH IS THE REASON WHY I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT."
