"Okay, here's another pro

"Okay, here's another problem with my 1981 3.8L with 800. The prop I bought it with is pretty chewed up. Is it hard to change the prop myself with the manual, and what prop should I go with. this is a 14 1/4 X 17. Aluminum but different pitch? Any thoughts are appreciated.

"Go with stainless. The size and pitch look fine. But it all depends on what you want to do. If you want more top end or a better hole shot. I would look for a prop that is in the middle. Good performance and fuel economy. I have a 14 1/2 X17 stainless Stiletto prop. Check your engines WOT operating range. You want a prop that gets you in the range. A far as changing it, its simple unless you are also changing the hub. Not sure if that is complicated or not."
