"I am trying to remove the starter on a 3.7L 4 Cylinder Mercruiser Engine. I have removed 2 bolts and it still will not come off. Can anyone tell me if there are more than 2 bolts on this starter. If there is, I can't find it."
 
just the 2 bolts or 2 nuts off

just the 2 bolts or 2 nuts off the studs.the nose cone is most likely corroded in place.tap with a block of wood.rumor has that it is a nose cone from a John Deere motor
 
Check for a support brace on t

Check for a support brace on the rear of the starter.
