1985 marineryamaha missing

"Tested the spark and 1 cylinder will fire fine while the other will miss,next time it might be the other cylinder firing good and the one one that was fine before will now be missing,never will both fire perfect,,just one good and the other with a miss,,stumps me,,would it be the primary coil or the c.d.i unit or trigger device? anyone? waynebo"

"I had 2 different problems,,the charge coil was weak so as to not allow it fire both plugs everytime,,yes this engine fires both plugs everytime.Its a 2 cylinder. The other thing was it was running way to rich,,all passages cleaned and clear,,float set spot on,,still bogged down,,no miss now though..Apparently some moron thought he would "hop it up" and drill the main jet out,,i used a small piece of wire hooked inside the jet to reduce orfice size and it finaaly runs great,,,yeehhaa...what a pain in the rear to trouble shoot,,waynebo"
