"Hi, Just tried to start my 5 HP 4 stroke Honda outboard and the carb kept flooding, no matter whether the choke was in or out, or what position the throttle was in. Any tips?"

if its not the float check the

if its not the float check the float valve.. i had the same problem and found a small speck of sand stuck to the end of the float valve keeping it wide open.

several times, could not fix it. Finally they showed me how to empty float bowl and then low and behold it starts right up. SO WHEN IT HAPPENS JUST EMPTY FLOAT BOWL OF CARB.....FYI"
