318 charging conversion

I am trying to convert a 1970

I am trying to convert a 1970 lm318 to a 1 wire charging system. I already removed what i think was the rectifirer( 2wires) what do i do with the relay.
 
Nothing. Just let it sit ther

Nothing. Just let it sit there (as BOTH of them do on my boat). Be sure to tap off the wire tat used to go to the field of the old alternators.

PS: Dont go ballistic if the alternator doesn't charge at fire up. You have to 'boot' the throttle a few times to get them going.
