"I have a 1991 Mercruiser, 5.0lx, LH rotation, with the Thunderbolt ignition. Do I use the STD or REV numbers on the top of my dist cap for the order???????

"Both! The rotor turns the same way as a standard rotation motor, but the firing order on the cap is set up the opposite way. From where #1 is, go counter-clockwise 18436572. Okay?

"SO I will use the cc numbers on the cap. I used the STD, all of which is on the cap i just didnt know which direction to use. I went with the STD first and could barely get the boat out of the hole, once up on plain it would run but still badly underpowered. I do believe my fireing order was off?????
