"Has anyone changed a 5.0 302 to a 5.7? If so what will I need for the change? This is in a 1989 four winns with a omc cobra drive. I found a 5.7 volvo out of a 1990 complete. The 302 is trash, it will need a new motor,new risers and mainfolds,starter,ect."

"You will need to move over from Your old:
Gear shift system(shift interrupt etc), flywheel housing and shaft coupling at fly wheel, electric cabling to fit with the instruments, new manifols (OMC). However You may keep the drive and transom assy!
Note that the old OMC has a build in resistor in the cabling system for the coil, the volvo has a separate resistor.If You shift the cables, use the OMC coil."
