I have an '88 125hp force

I have an '88 125hp force outboard and can't get the flywheel off. I am afraid if I crank down any harder on the puller that I will strip the threads out of the flywheel. I have tried penetrating oil and tapping the puller to no avail.

"Have had the same problem. A Bernzomatic torch applied to the flywheel where it meets the crankshaft will help. You can't easily overheat that area and damage anything, so have at it! Try to heat mainly the flywheel. Appling water with a sponge to the crank ONLY speeds the process.
