"I have a 1989 4.3L Mercruiser. While flushing the motor I only get 1/2 the flow of water out of the right exhaust when comparing each side. Cold or hot. I took off the exhaust manifold and elbow, both are rusty. Cleaned out the best I could but still same problem. Also checked butterfly in exhaust pipe, checked good. Before I go out and replace the manifold and elbow should I check something else. Could I remove those balls at the thermostat housing to see if that is my problem? Boat has been run in salt water so there is a lot of rust internally. Any help would be greatly appreciated, John."
