"I fish on a boat with a single inline 6 (315 hp, I think) Yanmar diesel. We've been plagued by a batch of bad fuel and then Algae. I'm seriously considering one of the above units. Anybody use either one of them or prefer one over the other. The engine only has 465 hours on it (2002), so it's fine mechanically.

"I've heard these products work. but if you have a serious algae problem, you will be constantly clogging filters. fuel polishing is required to clear it out of the tank. these products install in the fuel line and it will continue growing in the tank. especially if there's still water in there."

Thanks for the info. I sent an email to the algae x rep. for more info. I've got a pump rigged up with a filter that I could circulate the fuel thru.
