"How would you compare Chrysle

"How would you compare Chrysler 3.6HP outboard 1977 and Evinrude 3HP outboard 1979? They are on sale for almost the same price. I've got 8' inflatable boat that allows up to 4PH - can't wait to try it. What motor would you recommend? Which motor is more reliable and maintainable. Thanks, Tony"

Both are very reliable. I would go for the evinrude simply because of the number of shops that can work on them and the availability of parts. The chrysler is a good motor but was orphaned when Brunswick/Mercury shut down Force

"As it turned out, the Evinrude was not as good as advertised. I will check tomorrow if the Chrysler runs OK. Will I be able to find parts for the 3.6hp Chrysler 1977 anywhere in US or Canada?"
