I have a Johnson 30hp motor with model # J30RCUB and serial # E6248833. I was wondering what year this motor is and the correct fuel/oil gas mixture would be.

"Hi, I have a 28 hp Johnson (exact year unknown but prev owner thinks it was a mid 1980 model). I have only had it for a few weeks and it was running great but after 2 hrs yesterday it started to die out. It was turning over but did not seem like it was getting fuel. I was able to get it to run enough to get back (3 miles) by squeezing the fuel line bulb every 5 seconds to ensure proper fuel flow but if I stopped squeezing it would die. I have a brand new tank and the fuel line looks new. Any suggestions?

Probably a broken fue

Probably a broken fuel pump. You may by a rebuild kit or a new pump. However first check Your fuel connectors, lines and the cover on the fuel pump for air leaks."
