Ayuh,...

That's My experinces too,...

The Wires are the Same, but the Ends are All Wrong...
Wrong fittings,..
Wrong Angles,...
Just All Wrong..."

"The difference is simple.

All electronic merc ingnitions use (HEI) type ends. Both ends will fit on a spark plug.

The difference between the two applications is the automotive wires for say a 350 chevy are to short to fit. Even a set for a 454 may be to short for a 350. The marine wires are ALL longer.

My preference is BELDEN MARINE wires sold thru NAPA. 8 mm and work very very good. NAPA has a marine catologe you should go and try them, or see if they are on line."

Ayuh,... Your Right,...

Forgot about that,...
Marine wires run down, around,+ back up to the plugs...
Automotive run a Much shorter route...

Ditto on Your choice too,... That's what mine are..."
