"I just got a Sea King model 64EA-9002A and am in the process of getting it to run. I think the motor was made in 1947 (serial # 381-06188) based on list I found online.

Does anyone have a good source for parts or a manual for this outboard? Specifically, I'm looking for a new "Timer Lever", which I think controls the engine speed. I also need some new gaskets for the carb.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Jonathan"

"Jonathan, the year is in the serial (inverted).

That's a 1946 model built by Evinrude. The Ev equivalent was the model 381.

A vintage Evinrude manual would be just what you need.

Tim has listed the source you will probably have to contact to try and find parts etc. This is a little old even for places like Laings which carry alot of parts for "vintage" outboards..."

Try Evinrude or Johnson parts too! They work with this motor.Don't ask shops for SeaKing parts, they;ll look at you crosseyed. Ask for parts from Evinrude and Johnson that are comparable. You may have to take the part in to get a perfect fit."
