KAD 300 reliability

Im looking at buying a 28'

Im looking at buying a 28' boat with a KAD 300/ 290 duoprop outdrive 1000hrs. My question is are there any known flaws to this motor/outdrive package? The boat is being sold by a diesel mechanic shop that has been maintaining it since it was new so im hoping they are in good condition. Im just trying to learn the good and bad of this motor and outdrive if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks
