1995 130 Yamaha midrange miss

my 1994-95 130 V4 has a miss a

my 1994-95 130 V4 has a miss at midrange as if it is dropping a cyl.Checked plugs and put engine tuner thru carbs. Any ideas?
 
You will have to determine if

You will have to determine if the miss is being caused by the ignition system (losing spark) or a problem with the fuel system.

I would start with the spark first since it can be easily checked with a timing light and a buddy....

"Ag, my 200 2 stroke had a mid-range miss that at first appeared on occaison, then became more frequent...after much trial and error it was pinned down to a faulty coil. We finally found this by using a known good used coil (my mechanic lent it to me) I took off a coil at a time and ran a trip to see if the issue disappeared...sure enough on the 3rd try..no more miss. Left the coil on the engine and payed the shop for it. Hope that helps. Rollie"
