"I have cleaned out the gas ta

"I have cleaned out the gas tank and carburetor and put new plugs in it. I could not find the J6 plugs that came out of it so I got J8's. Will these plugs work? The motor turns over good, but it will not try to fire. I have no Idea how long the motor has set without cranking, but it looks to be in good shape. I think it should also have an air filter that is missing. Any suggestions?"

You can get J6C plugs for your motor.

It is most likely that your coils are cracked. Pull the flywheel and inspect them.

Your motor does not have an air cleaner
