"Hi Folks,

The rebuild kit for a rochester 2GV came with a thin mounting gasket and a thick (about 3/8") mounting gasket. Is there a benefit of using one over the other? The engine is a mercruiser 233 inboard, 351 windsor.

It also will improve fuel/air

It also will improve fuel/air atomization and allow easier tuning of the fuel/air mixture.
