I am putting a water pump kit

I am putting a water pump kit in my alpha gen 2. I have it all together with the exception of the pump housing. Is the driveshft supposed to be centered in the hole that is in the housing? My old one looked like it may have been off a little. The only way that I can center the new one is to push the housing over while tightening the bolts. I don't think that this is the way to go. If any one has any input I would appreciate the help.
 
"turn vertical shaft clockwise

"turn vertical shaft clockwise while pushing housing down. The impeller is soft so be careful.
The old was hard and was actually a bit easier to install.
If needed just push blades in on at a time and when done just spin the vertical shaft clockwise to orient the blades.

The impeller is ECCENTRIC in the housing, OFF CENTER"
