No reverse gear

"Hi,

I have a Yamaha 70 Beto 1985. I have no reverse gear. The connection has been extended as far as it will go. Forward is fine reverse is sad grinding noise. Any help please"
 
Sorry both shift shaft and cab

Sorry both shift shaft and cable have been adjusted as far as they will go. Has been suggested the dog clutch or gear has gone???
