1987 Johnson 150 Canbt get the impeller off the shaft

I'm attempting to rebuild

I'm attempting to rebuild the water pump but the impeller seems to be stuck on the drive shaft. Anyone ever figured out how to get one of these unstuck without damaging the drive shaft or lower unit?

"Put on the prop and a piece of wood between the prop and vent plate. With engaged gear, use a wise-grip and turn the impeller clock wise. (not the drive shaft)"

"I've had a few that just wouldn't budge. The cure was to cut away a section of rubber, then chisel thru the impeller hub."

"I have in the past used a good size hammer to strike the impeller in a counter-clockwise direction, while holding the drive shaft. This will sometimes loosen up the keyway from the impeller."
