"Could someone help me find a service manual for a 1987 omc 5.0. I have looked and can find these numbers in any service manual. Plate on out drive, mod#784542 serial#t0496079. I am not sure the drive is the same year as the boat. Thanks for your help."

"Are you sure it's not 984542?? That's the correct model # for a 1987 5.0

I would check on ebay for an original OMC factory manual for the 1987 Cobra, best investment for your $$$"
