Starter please help 87 omc 30

went to start boat wouldnt cra

went to start boat wouldnt crank sounded weird took cover off the starter is just hanging there look like the bracket where starter mounts is broken peice of it still on starter any ideas if its just a bracket i replace or is it a much deeper job im in for?

You'll need to replace the Starter,+ then figure out Why it broke...."

your right was starter looks like one bolt vibrated loose then the casing broke around other bolt

If there's no broken bolts,+ the threads in the block are good,...
A new starter will get you going again....
