"I am working on PCM 1987 small block Chevy engine. I recently replaced the cooling hoses and replenished the fluid to proper level. Once I run the engine noticed that the circulation pump tends to get hot rather quickly. The gauge shows a temperature of 140. I removed the heat exchanger cap and it seems that the coolant is circulating. My question is this, is the circ pump suppose to run hot? What is the normal temp the pump should be? Is it possible that the pump is air bound? If it is how do I bleed the system? Please advise."
