"Thank you for looking, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just bought used boat with a 2006 yamaha 25msh 2 stroke.
It will only start with choke pulled all the way out even after warming up. If I push choke in it stalls and it also stalls when I put it in gear with choke pulled all the way out.
The only way I can get it going is to slowly push the choke in about half way while puting it in gear. Once its going and choke is half way pushed in it runs great.
Service records indicate that the carbs were rebuilt and cleaned only one year ago. Engine looks brand new and very clean.
First instinct tells me carbs need to cleaned. But this seems unusual as they were just serviced and outboard has low hours. Any thoughts or suggestions?"
