My alternator belt has been ju

My alternator belt has been jumping off due to some 'teeth' that are missing.

Question is: Can I remove the two 5/8" bolts and spacer for the engine mount on the passenger side of the engine without supporting the engine? Will it stay in place without support long enough for me to slide a new belt in there or will it drop as soon as the second bolt is removed?
